Technical Specifications – Hardware (Davis Vantage Pro 2 GroWeather)

  • Metrics Measured: Rainfall, temperature, dew point, humidity, wind speed & direction, barometric pressure, delta T, solar radiation, evapotranspiration.
  • Data Collection Frequency: Temperature and humidity readings are synced hourly. Other weather data is captured every 10 minutes, with data points averaged (over the hour) for wind speed/direction, barometer, and solar radiation. Aggregated (over the hour) for rain.
  • Data Sync Frequency: Hourly via Farmbot Monitor
  • Connectivity: Satellite (exclusive to Farmbot) or cellular
